    BRS Update 21/2/2020 1700hrs

REMEMBER THERE IS ENTRY ON THE DAY AVAILABLE

Ok we have now marked the routes, whilst driving around putting the arrows up one of the scheduled roads we were going to use , Nightingale Lane approx 6KM into the route was in the process of being closed and a diversion was being put into place. The roadworks apparently will not be finished until Monday so we have had to divert from the original route to go along Roughwood Lane and Burton Lane to rejoin the original course at Little Chalfont.

Due to the weather over the last two weekends the back road into the HQ is also flooded, so that we don’t have to put the RNLI on stand by and to try and keep everyone’s feet dry we have altered the run into the finish. This has entailed taking a short dog leg to get back to the HQ as there is a no entry junction at the bottom of Chalfont Lane into Maple Lodge Close.

Viewing of the maps should make both diversions clear, in terms of extra mileage this is negligible.

In respect of the condition of the roads we encountered when driving round these were generally good, there are sections that are rough and few pot holes but only 1 lane with a very short section with standing water but only at the sides of the road.

Weather forecast at present has changed from cloudy to chance of light rain and a moderate breeze so dress accordingly.
