So another week of no group riding and as yet no sign of when we are likely to be able to join up again. As we can not ride in a group presently I posted an on and off road route suggestion for last weekend and it was good to see that a few people gave the routes a try out despite the Arctic weather, so I will be posting 2 more rides for this weekend although make sure you dress up well if going out as the current max temperature is 3 degrees and beware of ice!
One really bit of good news last week was that one of our members who had a bike stolen approx 3 months ago saw the bike advertised for sale on Gumtree in the same area that it had been stolen from and managed to get it back in the same condition as when it had been stolen.
Although currently we have taken a slight step back in terms of group riding hopefully we will soon be able to and we are very hopeful that by the 28th February the date of our Bucks Road Sportive the rules will be relaxed a bit and the event will go ahead and certainly by the time of our club trips in April and June we will be able to go ahead freely.
A decision from the club is that despite the current situation that as we expect things to improve soon that we will be running our flag ship event the Bucks Off Road Sportive again, we are currently looking at dates and hopefully will be able to confirm details very soon, obviously those riders who entered last years cancelled event will have their entry transferred through to this years event.
A couple of people have been asking about club membership for this year , it appears British Cycling have laid most of their staff off or furloughed them so admin tasks are taking a bit longer and we are still awaiting our subscription to them to be approved but hopefully very soon the on link to rejoin the club will be live soon.
If anyone else is interested in either of the supported trips-the French road trip in June or the King Alfreds Way trip then get in touch.

    Major dates
    28th Feb Bucks Road Sportive
15th to 18th April King Alfreds Way trip
    5-12th June Pyrenees Road Trip
