This week there were a number of rides and races that club riders were taking part in, on the off-road front Viv Hazelton riding in the Gorrick Endurance opted for the 70 mile event and took a great solo victory with consistent lapping that saw her finish the race in a time of 8hours and 43 minutes, Phil Earl riding in the 50 mile event finished in 25th position out of a big field of 90 riders. This week once again there were a number of activities going on, the 2nd round of the Southern Series which was unfortunately hit by the awful weather however Paul Wilkinson made light of the bad conditions to take 4th in the sports race, there were a humber of other team riders taking part, check out the timelaps website for the results

Last week as always there was a number of rides and races happening, MTB wise there was a couple of evening rides, one at Swinley and another at the Malt Shovel along with a beginners ride on Sat which despite the naff weather was an enjoyable affair. The next beginners ride is planned for May 3rd so if you know anyone who has not yet been brave enough to come out or have some friends who might fancy it spread the word.
