I reckon I'd be up for that again - anyone else for a sociable bit of carbo loading at the end of the night ride in preparation for the Marathon? I'll take the campervan if anyone needs a lift

I might have a go if it doesn't clash with exams, otherwise it'll have to be the May one!

I don't know what your car looks like...was it the Polo?

Looking at the results you were pretty close to us there too...6 mins behind me on the night ride and 4 mins ahead of Stephen. Were you riding single speed?...that course wasn't really suited to SS at all - too many steep climbs.

Yes single speed. First bit was hard but the fact that my light failed half way through made it 'interesting'. I was only left with a small cateye commuting light. Had to take it slow till somebody passed me and then tried to follow them for a while till it got too dicey. Had a good laught afterwards but wasn't that impressed during the ride after fall number 4 or 5.

I wouldn't have fancied that route with no lights. It got quite strung out and at one point I could neither see someone ahead of me or behind...it wasn't til the next day that I saw the ridge line we rode along and realised how dangerous it could have been if you'd fallen off.
